This is an important message for both the domestic workers and employers in the Anisya community as it affects the domestic worker’s ability to transfer.  Please note that you need to submit the transfer application to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)  AT LEAST ONE MONTH before the domestic worker’s current work permit expires.  Any applications submitted later than that will be rejected.

If you (as a domestic worker) are planning to transfer, please let your current employer know well in advance.  We recommend starting your interviewing process about 2-3 months before your work permit expires.  This will give you enough time to meet several future employers and find yourself a good match.

As an example, if your work permit expires on 1 August 2017, your transfer application has to be submitted to MOM before 1 July 2017.  To give you enough time to find a new employer, you can start looking in May or June 2017.  You should also inform your current employer about this timing and plan accordingly.  After your transfer application is submitted, it will take about 1 week to process and you will start work at the new employer after the new work permit is issued.

Pagpapalano ng iyong Paglipat – Work Permit

Ito ay importanteng mensahe para sa mga domestic worker at sa mga employer sa Anisya community dahil ito ay patungkol sa kapasidad ng isang domestic worker na makalipat ng employer. Tandaan na kailangan maipasa ang application ng paglipat sa Ministry of Manpower (MOM) hindi bababa sa isang buwan bago maexpire ang work permit ng domestic worker. Kapag ang expiry ng iyong work permit ay mas mababa sa isang buwan, ang iyong application ay hindi tatanggapin at irereject ng MOM.

Kung ikaw na isang domestic worker at nagpaplanong lumipat, pakiusap lamang na ipaalam sa iyong employer ng mas maaga. Iminumungkahi namin na simulan ang paghahanap at pag attend ng interview tatlo hanggang dalawang buwan bago maexpire ang iyong work permit. Sa ganitong paraan, mabibigyan mo ng oras ang bago mong employer na maasikaso ang iyong mga papeles at para makahanap ka ng mabuti ng employer na iyong makakasundo at hindi mo na kailangan magpalipat lipat ng trabaho.

Halimbawa, kapag ang iyong work permit ay matatapos sa 1 August 2017, kaylangan maipasa ang iyong application sa MOM sa 1 July 2017. Upang mabigyan ka ng sapat na oras na makahanap ng employer, kailangan mo magsimula maghanap sa May o June 2017. Kailangan mong ipaalam sa iyong employer ng mabuti ang mga bagay na ito. Matapos maipasa ang iyong application, aabutin ng isang linggo ang proseso at makakapagsimula ka lamang sa bago mong employer kapag na ibigay na ang bago mong work permit.
